Our company operates 5 of the most individual pub / restaurant / entertainment venues in Britain. They are totally different to your average pub or restaurant, for lots of reasons. It helps that we are a family firm and completely free of brewers’ ties or any other ‘big company’ restrictions. We respond fast to changes and give our customers what they want!

We have outlets in Liverpool, Huddersfield and Newcastle upon Tyne. So, if you are up north,  you are never TOO far away from THE HEAD OF STEAM! (We had an outlet at Euston station, London until August 2005, when we sold it to Fullers.)

REFORM PLACE will shortly be re-named THE HEAD OF STEAM. It is a beautiful pub set on 2 floors, with balcony and courtyard, in a great sun-trap location - just up a lane in the centre of Durham.

The pub currently has no real ale, but it will have soon - along with real cider and a range of excellent draught world lagers, some unique in Durham. There is already a huge range of world and British bottled beers and soft drinks.

Reform Place will also have CHILDRENS' PLAY EQUIPMENT very soon - and a full meals service, as soon as we get a new electricity supply. Right now, the pub offers sandwiches and cakes from noon onwards - as well as the full pub offering.

Also, the company has taken over another pub in the centre of Newcastle, but we are not able to tell you which one yet. But there are lots of clues inside - can you work it out.........? It will soon blast onto the scene and become a great sister location to our other Newcastle pubs.

More 'also' - we have taken over operation of the theatre next door to the Cluny, which was formrly known as the ROUND, but which is now CLUNY 2.
THIS IS A GREAT VENUE WHICH WILL HOST THEATRE, COMEDY, PERFORMANCE, LIVE MUSIC - AS WELL AS BEING AN IDEAL LOCATION FOR PARTIES.
